Your Nextcloud on your own domain (cloud.yourcompany.com)
By default, your WebOké Nextcloud runs on an address on webokecloud.nl, for example yourname.webokecloud.nl. With Nextcloud Family and Max, you can also use a subdomain of your own domain, such as cloud.yourcompany.com. This looks more professional and is easier to remember.

How to set it up
- Open the package page in My WebOké (see The package page in My WebOké).
- Under Configurable options, next to Subdomain of Nextcloud server, choose Nextcloud server on your own subdomain.
- Click Save options, then Confirm and pay, and pay the invoice.
- Let us know via a ticket which address you want, for example cloud.yourcompany.com. We'll switch your Nextcloud over.
You can also choose your own subdomain straight away when ordering a new package.
Your domain's DNS
Your new address needs to point to our server. How you do this depends on where your domain's DNS is hosted.

| Your domain's DNS is hosted elsewhere | We give you your server's IPv4 and IPv6 address. You create an A record (IPv4) and an AAAA record (IPv6) for the subdomain with your DNS provider. Until these records are in place, the new address won't work. |
Once the new address points to our server, we automatically create a security certificate (Let's Encrypt). You'll then see the padlock icon in your browser. If you still get a connection warning, read Certificate warning or insecure connection.
What happens to the old address?
The old address on webokecloud.nl keeps working. Anyone using the old address is automatically redirected to the new address. Shared links, the desktop app and the apps on your phone will therefore keep working.
Tip: at a convenient moment, update the address in your apps to the new one anyway. That way, you'll use the same address everywhere and won't depend on the redirect. You can read which apps to check in Moving your Nextcloud to your own domain: what do you need to update in apps afterwards?.
